One of the biggest names in world death metal, Monstrosity performed last Friday, the 24th, at Hangar 110 in São Paulo. In addition to the Americans, the bands Corpse Grinder (MG), Cemitério (SP), and Vazio (SP) also performed.
Formed in 1990, Monstrosity released in 1992 what would become one of the genre's great classics, Imperial Doom . The album featured George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher , who years later would front Cannibal Corpse – where he has remained since 1995.
The current Monstrosity lineup consists of Ed Webb (vocals), Justin Walker (lead guitar), Sam Molina (guitar), Mark van Erp (bass), and Lee Harrison (drums).
Our contributor Wellington Penilha was there and captured the show. Check out the photos below.
