Like Judas Priest , Scorpions are worthy of the title of "Monsters of Rock." With an impressive sixty-year career, the lads from Hanover are part of the list of the longest-running rock bands in history, alongside names like AC/DC , Rolling Stones , and The Who .

In their second consecutive performance at the festival, the group was tasked with closing the historic 30th Anniversary edition of Monsters Of Rock . Before the set began, a commemorative video was shown on the screen. Throughout their career, the band has performed over 5000 shows, completed 27 tours, and traveled to 83 countries.

The feeling of seeing Klaus Meine singing at the top of his lungs at 76 years old is wonderful. The same goes for guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs. “Bad Boys Running Wild” , “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, “Wind Of Change”, “Still Loving You”, “Send Me An Angel” and “Big City Nights” are timeless and should remain so for generations to come.

Mikkey Dee is phenomenal as well. The drummer had his moment to shine with an epic solo. Since joining the band, the Swede has brought a new sonic identity.

The most memorable moment was undoubtedly when an inflatable scorpion filled the back of the stage, driving the audience wild in the stadium.

For a festival as historic as Monsters, there was no better way to close its 30th anniversary edition than with Scorpions. The Germans still have a lot of fuel left in the tank, and even though they've gone on several "farewell tours" in recent years, their passion for music, and especially for their fans, still speaks louder.

The "Monsters of Rock" will always be eternal. Long live Scorpions and all the festival's acts.
