The Misfits ' Famous Monsters is arriving in the Brazilian market in a new edition. The album, originally released in 1999, is now available in major stores in a special edition CD slipcase format.
Famous Monsters is the fifth studio album by the punk rock band. The project includes 18 tracks, some of which are based on pop culture references, such as the films Planet of the Apes , King Kong , and Boxing Helena . The album title itself is a reference to the American horror and sci-fi magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland , from which they also drew inspiration for the band's classic logo font.
The release was made possible thanks to an initiative by Wikimetal and Oporto, which has been bringing to the Brazilian market monthly several titles that were no longer available, and even some that had never been released in the country before. The new titles join several albums already released through the partnership, from bands such as Rival Sons, Twisted Sister, Heaven & Hell, Metal Church, Deicide, among many others.
Famous Monsters is now available in major stores and online via Wikimetal Store .
