Former Misfits Joey Image died yesterday, the 1st, at the age of 63 after several years battling cancer. In 2017, a fundraising page was created to help the artist pay for his treatment , aiming for $25,000, however, only $8,000 was raised.
The band's official page paid tribute and confirmed the musician's passing, writing, “Rest in peace Joey Image, March 5th to June 1st, 2020. Deceased drummer for the Misfits from 1978-1979. He appeared on the Misfits classics 'Horror Business' & 'Night Of The Living Dead'. Seen here on drums on the right with the Misfits performing at Irving Plaza on Halloween night in 1979 in New York. Jerry Only on the left.”
