Despite releasing a new album in October , Ministry is already working on the follow-up to Moral Hygiene .

In an interview with Metal Edge , vocalist Al Jourgensen reveals that the band has already recorded eight new songs and that their sound engineer described the material as "100% arena rock".

“I feel that after [ Moral Hygiene ], we have the strength to make another one, which would be our 19th album. I don’t think we’ll get to number 20, but I’m sure we’ll have 19 when we’re done. So, we’ll see. Who knows?”, commented Jourgensen.

Despite comparisons to arena rock, Al Jourgensen assures that the new Ministry album will have nothing to do with hair metal and admitted that he himself wasn't a big fan of the genre in the 80s. "Even today, apart from 'Girls, Girls, Girls', I can't name a single Mötley Crüe . It's not something I listen to," he comments.

According to the musician, the term "arena rock," in this case, is more about being able to visualize "20,000 people who know the lyrics and are singing along."
