Ministry hit the right note in timing the release of “Alert Level,” their new single. The band is still working on their next album, the successor to AmeriKKKant ( 2018), and wanted to show fans how the process is going.
“We finished this song in January (…) And the plan was to release the album in July so we could go on tour on the eve of the [US] presidential election, but then things changed and, given the relevance the song has in these bizarre times, we decided to release 'Alert Leve' now,” said Al Jourgensen.
And indeed, the song fits perfectly with the times we are living in: "How worried are you?", Al sings at the beginning of the song. And you can answer the question with a video on social media of up to 30 seconds with the hashtag #MinistryAlertLevel. The group members will share the most meaningful responses on their networks in search of greater awareness.
