Gilson Machado Neto , the current Brazilian Minister of Tourism, made an unusual appearance on Brazilian television and went viral on the internet with an unconventional version of "Another Brick in the Wall," a Pink Floyd , played on the accordion.
During an interview on the program Opinião do Ar, broadcast live on Rede TV! this Monday, the 30th, the politician and businessman talked about "actions of the Ministry of Tourism for the resumption of tourism," as he shared on social media , emphasizing "optimism that the sector's activities will return in full force in the coming months."
The most talked-about moment of the program was when Machado recounted his time as a musician in a forró band, when a very wealthy client refused to pay him after a night playing the accordion. "I'll only pay if you play a song in English," the client reportedly said. The chosen song was a forró-style version of "Another Brick in the Wall," with improvised lyrics.

On social media, internet users were divided between criticism of the Minister's musical performance and praise for Machado's irreverent style in the interview. Others pointed out the inconsistency between the song's lyrics and Jair Bolsonaro 's government , given that Roger Waters actively protested against the politician's election during his last visit to Brazil.
According to Folha de S. Paulo , Gilson Machado is a founding member of the group Forró de Brucelose, formed in 1990, in which he is credited as a singer, composer, and accordion player.
