Miley Cyrus continues with her amazing covers! This time, the singer brought Queen, Blondie , and Stevie Nicks to the stage during a performance to honor frontline workers fighting COVID-19.
The set took place during halftime of the NCAA basketball finals last Friday, the 3rd. To open the performance, she chose the hits "We Will Rock You" and "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Even with a deeper voice than Freddie Mercury , the singer delivered a captivating performance and mastered both songs.
In addition to songs from her own career, such as "Wrecking Ball," Miley also performed covers of Blondie's "Heart of Glass" and "Edge of Midnight," a mashup of the single "Midnight Sky" with Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen." The 20-minute performance ended with "American Woman," a cover of The Guess Who .
The singer reached the number one spot on the rock album charts in the United States with Plastic Hearts , released in November 2020, and has already performed covers of songs by Pink Floyd , Hole, Nine Inch Nails , and Metallica .
