Demi Lovato released the music video for the song "Still Alive," from the movie Scream 6. The song was produced and co-written by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park.
In addition to Shinoda's presence in the music video, Lovato is also joined by Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills . The video is a great tribute to what the film represents in the history of horror cinema. Watch the video at the end of this article.
Before the release, Mike explained how the idea for the soundtrack came about: “Until this year, I’ve been writing and producing a lot for other people. And recently I had the urge to do it myself again. I have a new song that will be in the movie Scream. What happened is that they asked, ‘Will you help us with the music for the movie?’ And in the conversation I played something for them and they said, ‘Oh my God, can we use that?’”
“I didn’t plan this – I would never have thought, ‘Oh, we’re going to release this big Linkin Park thing [the 20th anniversary edition of Meteora ] and I want to release my music right on top of that!’ That’s not good planning for me,” the musician said.
What Mike Shinoda is referring to is the 20th-anniversary re-release of Meteora , the iconic Linkin Park album. To celebrate the announcement, the group released a previously unreleased track that didn't make it onto the original album.
Scream VI will star Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Melissa Barrera (Sam), Courtney Cox (Gale), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby), among others. Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are directing.
