Just hours before the mysterious announcement that Linkin Park is preparing, Mike Shinoda shared the band's new logo on his Instagram.
Without further explanation, the post generated speculation about a possible return of the group, which had already begun with the countdown they had on their website. The countdown, which marked 100 hours, ended on the 28th. At the end of the countdown, the clock started counting the time linearly.
Then, last Thursday, the 29th, the countdown ended and a post featured a partial image of the band's logo with the caption: "Be part of something. September 5th." Adding even more mystery to the announcement, Mike Shinoda shared that the band will share something at 7 PM Brasília time on that day.
In recent months, Linkin Park has been in the news following rumors that the members were looking for a female vocalist for a reunion in 2025. In early August, Mike Shinoda further fueled fans' curiosity by stating on his website that he had "many exciting things planned .
