In one of his famous livestreams with fans, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park was asked about his opinion regarding Hayley Williams , the vocalist of Paramore .
The producer and multi-instrumentalist heaped highly respectful and flattering praise on the singer and demonstrated deep admiration for her as a performer, even comparing her to an orchestral conductor "choreographing and conducting the emotional arc of the evening and guiding people through something special."
“I think Hayley is an insane and very unique artist. She has a great voice and one of the best stage presences. If you've never seen Paramore live, she performs the songs and keeps the audience interested on a level that's completely her own. And her voice is perfect live,” she commented.
Regarding Hayley Williams' solo project, Mike Shinoda said he liked it "less than Paramore's most recent album," referring to After Laughter (2017). The musician also admitted he had never been a big fan of the band's sound until that album.
“I’m not a big fan of Warped Tour- , and they came from there. So, at the time, I didn’t love the music, but I liked the singer. Later, when they started to move away from that, I came to like them more,” he concluded.
