The work discusses the singer's grieving process
Mike Shinoda , founder of Linkin Park Post Traumatic , this Friday, the 15th. The album reflects the musician's grief following the death of his bandmate and best friend, Chester Bennington .
Featuring sixteen tracks, the project began as a three-track EP , but during an exclusive interview with the website Mad Sound , Shinoda revealed that while trying to cope with feelings of loss, he soon realized that the work could easily be transformed into a full album.
"In the end, everything I felt and everything I went through went into the album. I wrote and sang my truths about what was happening," he says.
