Mike Shinoda spoke for the first time about the future and possible return of Linkin Park , both in terms of music and concerts. This revelation is part of the promotion for the special edition of the album Meteora (2003), which will be released on April 7th and already includes the previously unreleased track " Lost ".
In an interview with KROQ FM , the musician said: “Normally I try to manage expectations a bit, especially in recent years. There are certain things that are being considered and certain things that are off the table. With this release, surprisingly, I don’t think there’s much that’s off the table. Touring is the only thing that’s off the table. We won’t be touring right now. The rest is up to the fans’ imagination, where I know their minds are thinking ‘we could do this or that’. I think the answer to a lot of that is yes” (transcription via NME ).
Furthermore, Mike Shinoda revealed that he has a song for the movie Scream that is yet to be released, but he didn't give any further details about who wrote the track. “I have a new song that’s going to be in the movie. What happened is they contacted me and said, ‘Can you help us with a song for the movie?’ And in the conversation I played something for them and they were like, ‘Oh my God, can we use this?’”.
Scream is the sixth film in the franchise and will be released in Brazilian cinemas on March 9th.
Recently, the singer explained why "Lost" was left out of Meteora and the meaning of the track .
