The work will be released in June of this year
Earlier this year, Mike Shinoda released an EP with three songs recorded after the death of his bandmate and friend Chester Bennington.
With the release, rumors that Shinoda was preparing for a solo career flooded the internet until the musician confirmed on his official Instagram that he is working on something new.
Now, the singer has officially announced the release of his new album, revealing that it will be released on June 15th by Warner Bros. The album will have the same name as his EP, Post Traumatic , and according to a statement from the musician, the work will address "a journey out of grief and darkness, not into them. If other people have gone through something similar, I hope they feel less alone."
With the death of frontman Chester Bennington , the future of Linkin Park is uncertain, but Shinoda confirmed that the band intends to continue their work , although "it will take a long time."
