Max Portnoy, a member of Tallah and son of the iconic Mike Portnoy , has announced that he is the new drummer for Code Orange.
Loudwire points out , fans began to suspect that Portnoy was in Code Orange after the band's performance at Knotfest Readshow with Slipknot , Killswitch Engage , and Fever 333 , but confirmation came from the drummer himself on his Instagram account.
Jami Morgan was the original drummer for Code Orange between 2008 and 2020, when he chose to focus solely on vocals for the band's live performances. After that, Ethan Young took over the drums, but only stayed for a year, leaving the position which has now been filled by Max Portnoy.
Max remains a member of Tallah, the nu-core he founded a few years ago, and will stay with Code Orange indefinitely. The group is expected to announce soon whether Max will join the official lineup
