Slipknot released their new album , The End… So Far , and drummer Mike Portnoy doesn't understand the band's fans who disliked the record.

On social media, Portnoy defended the band's new studio album and compared it to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), acclaimed as one of the best albums of the Beatles and a creative and technological landmark.

“I don’t know what the purist Slipknot fans are talking about. But for me, this is one of the albums of the year! It’s like Slipknot meets Pink Floyd and Radiohead … And I loved it so much! It’s a whole new level of Slipknot, using all their firepower creatively and delivering the Sgt. Pepper [of their career],” Mike Portnoy wrote on Twitter.
