Mike Portnoy on Ozzy's new album: "It's almost as if he's saying goodbye while he's still alive."

"And Ozzy – Please stay healthy. Don't go anywhere in the near future.".

Mike Portnoy Ozzy Osbourne 's new album . The album, Ordinary Man , was released last Friday, the 21st.

"Honestly, it's been a while since I listened to Ozzy's new albums... But I picked up this one, mostly out of curiosity, and I'm pleasantly surprised!"

It's great to hear the contributions of Chad Smith , Duff McKagan , Slash , Post Malone , Elton John , and Andrew Watt , taking Ozzy to new places… (and some moments on the album that sound like the Beatles !!!)…

But these lyrics… It’s super obvious where Ozzy’s head is currently at… They’re introspective reflections on life… Almost as if he were saying goodbye while still alive and the album was his ‘swan song’.

My only criticism is that the song 'Holy For Tonight' should have closed the album because it's such a climax. Post Malone's songs should have been placed earlier…

But in any case, I have a lot of respect for this amazing, surprisingly incredible album.

And Ozzy – Please stay healthy and hopefully you won't be going anywhere in the near future.”.
