This Monday, the 17th, Paul McCartney , RAM , turns 50 years old. The album was made in collaboration with the musician's wife, Linda McCartney , and is considered one of the former Beatle's best works.
The special date did not go unnoticed by drummer Mike Portnoy , who used his Twitter profile to share a sweet moment in honor of the album.
Portnoy posted a photo of himself wearing a t-shirt from the album alongside his pet and wrote: “Happy 50th anniversary to my favorite @PaulMcCartney solo album, RAM… released 50 years ago today: May 17, 1971! I love this album so much that I also own the complete cover versions by Tim Christensen, Dave Depper and Percy 'Thrills' Thrillington (better known as Macca ).”
Mike Portnoy is an avowed Beatles , having used the band as a comparison to Metallica RAM 's half-century anniversary via the Spotify player at the end of this post.
