Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess are former bandmates in Dream Theater.
Dream Theater and keyboardist, Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess finally reunited . They performed the band's song "Instrumedley" at Cruise To The Edge . They were joined by guitarist Eric Gillette of the Neal Morse Band and bassist Conner Green of Haken .
On Saturday (9), Portnoy posted on Facebook: “My MP & Friends show yesterday was unforgettable! I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since Jordan and I played together… And it felt like not a single day has passed!”
They had already met on the cruise last week.
“Instrumedley” contains excerpts from “The Dance Of Eternity”, “Metropolis”, “Erotomania”, “A Change Of Seasons”, “Ytse Jam” and “Hells Kitchen”. All by Dream Theater. There are also parts of “Paradigm Shift” and “Universal Mind”, from Liquid Tension Experiment .
