"He was a happy person."

Drummer Mickey Dee paid tribute to his bandmates Lemmy Kilmister and Ronnie James Dio during the Bowl for Ronnie event.

There, Mickey spoke with Eric Blair and shared his memories of his colleagues.

“I prefer to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death. Lemmy was very happy and reached 70 years old. He was a happy person. Of course, I would love for him to still be here, but he had a great life.”

Mickey also spoke about his friend Dio, “Rock and Roll was the life of these guys and they were happy. Ronnie passed away a little early and it was more of a: 'what happened?'. But Lemmy was more prepared. And I would love for him to still be here and stay for another 20 years, as we all would, but he had a good life. When he was 50, he said: 'if I die tomorrow, I've lived the perfect life'” .

When asked about his work with the Scorpions, the drummer said that he is loving being part of the band and that Lemmy would be happy for him.
