Mick Mars released the official music video for "Undone" this Thursday, the 25th. It's the third single from his upcoming solo album, titled The Other Side Of Mars , which will be released on February 23rd by 1313 LLC – Mick's own label – in partnership with MRI.
The Other Side Of Mars Mötley Crüe guitarist and his first since leaving the band. The album features Jacob Bunton , who has worked with Steven Adler (former Guns N' Roses ) and Tom Keifer Cinderella vocalist ), and who sings on all 12 songs except "Undone" and "Killing Breed," which feature Brion Gamboa . Other guests on the album include keyboardist Paul Taylor ( Winger /ex- Alice Cooper) , drummer Ray Luzier ( Korn ), and bassist Chris Collier —who is also credited with mixing and mastering.
“I know a lot of people were probably expecting something more blues-oriented or some kind of extension of Mötley Crue,” Mars told Chris Akin Presents , “And I wanted to go in a completely different direction, instead of the more well-known way. I wanted to go somewhere with it. I didn’t know if it would work or not. The scariest part about doing this stuff is because the tone of my guitar is associated with the Mötley Crue sound. I was kind of worried about that, so I just played around a bit more. And it worked for me.”
