From one legend to another: Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was chosen to narrate the video celebrating the 150th anniversary of one of the UK's and the world's most famous arenas, the Royal Albert Hall .

The production, titled Your Room Will Be Ready , directed by Tom Harper , and with a soundtrack by Oscar winner Steven Price , shows images of the music venue from 1933 to the present, including the empty arena due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which closed the venue's doors in March of last year.

Jagger recites the poem " For Friends Only " by W.H. Aden , while images of great performances by names like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Iggy Pop and more make up the time machine in space.

“Without a doubt, the Royal Albert Hall is one of the greatest concert halls in the world, and so I was delighted to be invited to read a short poem by W.H. Auden as part of this excellent short film by Tom Harper,” Jagger said in a statement about the project. “I have some wonderful memories of performing there with the [Rolling] Stones in the 1960s, when once or twice it got a little wild, with enthusiastic fans joining us on stage and almost bringing the show to an abrupt end, but we persevered and had a great time.”
