Today, the 4th, Mick Fleetwood releases “The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown)” alongside Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and Kirk Hammett of Metallica.
The summer special was recorded at a concert in London earlier this year. The show was a star-studded gathering to celebrate the work of Peter Green , who died in July of this year, and the early years of Fleetwood Mac .
“The show was a tribute to the blues, where we all started, and it’s important to acknowledge the profound impact that Peter and that early phase of Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” says Mick. “He was my greatest mentor and it was a joy to honor his incredible talent. I was honored to share the stage with some of the many artists Peter inspired over the years and who share my great respect for him.”
The version will be on the album Mick Fleetwood & Friends Celebrate The Music Of Peter Green and The Early Years Of Fleetwood Mac , which will be released on April 30, 2021, via BMG.
