Satriani and Sammy Hagar paid their respects to the businessman.

Mick Bridgen , longtime manager of guitarist Joe Satriani , died at age 73 last Sunday, September 5. According to a statement, Bridgen suffered an accident at his home in Santa Rosa, California (via Loudwire ).

In a tribute to the businessman, Joe Satriani wrote that Mick Bridgen was "full of energy and inexhaustibly creative" and that, along with the BGM , he had taken care of his career from the beginning.

“Those were 33 crazy and wonderful years of rock 'n' roll. I never worked so hard, had so much fun, laughed and cried so much, made so many songs and had so many adventures around the world, and all of that with Mick by my side. He was the greatest mentor in the music world. Honest, tough, welcoming, hardworking, respectful, persistent, insightful, he was all that and more. I learned a lot about how to be a good person from Mick.”

Sammy Hagar , who met Mick Bridgen when he co-managed the supergroup Chickenfoot , also paid tribute in a separate statement, saying that Bridgen was the first person to look after him on tour. “ Montrose opened for Humble Pie for the three years we were on the road. Mick was their tour manager, lighting director, stagehand – it seemed like he did everything. He used to do the lighting for Montrose and hang out with us on our days off.”

Mick Bridgen's family has requested that all donations made in his name be directed to the Humane Society of Sonoma County , in honor of the businessman's love for animals.
