Sammy Hagar Michael Anthony was contacted by Van Halen about a possible reunion .
Recently, a rumor about the band's reunion gained traction, and now it seems Anthony has been invited to join them for the first time since 2004.
The news was revealed during an interview with Sammy Hagar on Trunk Nation when the former vocalist said that Anthony didn't know the details about the reunion. "As usual, he found out through the news, just like we found out that Wolfie [ Wolfgang Van Halen , Eddie Van Halen ] was going to replace him in 2007."
Hagar also said that he is not hiding his plans regarding the meeting with Anthony, but so far he claims that no one knows what will happen.
