Former bassist Michael Anthony has put an end to rumors of a reunion of the original members of Van Halen .
A new rumor had suggested a reunion of the original Van Halen lineup. This would include Anthony, who hasn't played with the band since 2004. This would be the quartet's first performance together. The original lineup has consisted of David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen , and Alex Van Halen since 1984.
"The only comment I have to make is that I haven't spoken to any of the guys since we played together in 2004," said Anthony.
He added that, although he had spoken to Alex Van Halen on the phone a few years ago, it was nothing more than a casual conversation.
