The passing of Eddie Van Halen last year sparked many tributes, memories, and emotions among the public and also among his colleagues who followed the icon throughout his career.
His sudden death, however, left many issues unresolved, including with former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony , as he reveals in an interview with Talkin' Rock With Meltdown .
“We don’t really talk,” the artist reveals about reconnecting with EVH. “And unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance. And, you know, it kind of bothers me, because we had some issues that were never resolved. But, I mean, what can you do?”
Anthony also shares about the possibility of a band reunion tour with Eddie participating, “We were on our way to a reunion, which I’m very sad never happened. But, you know, life and the show must go on.”
The artist's account differs from what Sammy Hagar shared shortly after the guitarist's death, in which he stated that he had been secretly reconnecting with Van Halen in recent months. Click here to read more.
