Metallica performed the first show of their highly anticipated residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas on the evening of Thursday, October 1st.
Titled Life Burns Faster, the series of performances will run until March 13, 2027, totaling 24 shows and maintaining the recent format the band adopted on the M72: the shows will always take place on Thursdays and Saturdays, with different setlists each night [via Blabbermouth].
The opening setlist featured a repertoire of 16 songs, including great classics from the group's career and tracks from their most recent album, 72 Seasons, released in April 2023.
The venue boasts the world's largest high-resolution LED screen, an immersive sound system, and 4D multi-sensory technology, offering an unprecedented experience even for those who have already seen Metallica in stadiums, arenas, or on the 360° stage of their current tour.
