The 66th Grammy Awards took place this Sunday, February 4th, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where, in addition to Metallica , other rock, metal, and alternative music artists received the honor.
Robert Trujillo , bassist for Metallica, was present to accept the award for best metal performance on behalf of the band. He made the following statement: “This is like a family. When you’re making an album like this, you’re playing and collaborating, and the spirit of 72 Seasons is youth and creating music together. Keep those instruments in your hands and let’s keep the youth making music and keeping the dream alive!”

The award for best rock performance went to Boygenius for "Not Strong Enough," and the band also won in the categories of best rock song and best alternative music album, The Record .
The album This Is Why, by the band Paramore, won in the best rock album category. They also won for best alternative performance, and the band were not present at the ceremony to receive their awards.
This year's nominees were chosen from recordings released between October 1, 2022, and September 15, 2023. The final vote took place between December 14, 2023, and January 2, 2024.
