Metallica announced yesterday that they will release a live album recorded at the Bataclan in Paris in 2003 for Record Store Day (celebrated on the third Saturday of April).

The concert venue became internationally famous last year for being the focus of the terrorist attacks in Paris during the Eagles of Death Metal concert.

The album will be titled “Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite, Metallica!” and will donate the money raised from sales to the Give For France charity, which helps victims of terrorist attacks.

The members of Metallica have been named ambassadors for Record Store Day this year. Drummer Lars Ulrich commented: .
