Joining numerous names in music who are using their platform to help combat the coronavirus, Metallica Lars Ulrich announced in a video that the band's NGO, All Within My Hands , will be assisting various institutions by doing vital work during the pandemic.
“We were inspired by #GivingTuesdayNow , a new global day to address the world’s needs caused by COVID-19, to start by highlighting four organizations we are helping during this crisis,” said Ulrich.
The drummer continues, “Every week this month, we’ll be sharing with you what these organizations do, and showing you how you can help. We’ll be contributing weekly profits, exclusive products from the Metallica store, and continuing to donate the funds raised during the #MetallicaMondays broadcasts.” The idols we deserve, seriously!
The organizations chosen by Metallica will be Feeding America , which contributes to "food banks" across the country; Crew Nation Live Nation institution that helps employees in the music industry; the United States Bartenders Guild Foundation , which helps bartenders and other similar service workers; and finally, Direct Relief , which supports people on the front lines in the fight against the virus.
