Queen and Led Zeppelin are left behind.
Billboard published a year-end list showing the top chart numbers for Rock songs in 2017.
Despite Metallica's album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct being released in 2016, it topped the Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums that year.
The album also reached number two on the Mainstream Rock Artists , and five tracks reached high positions on various charts.
Names like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Queen, Guns N' Roses, Five Finger Death Punch, and Led Zeppelin also had their moment, but they've fallen by the wayside.
Billboard revealed that the chart is based on radio airplay, streaming, and sales (online and physical) figures for artists during the period from December 3, 2016 to November 25, 2017.
