Tony Iommi made a great point when he cited Metallica 's success as proof of how alive rock (and metal) still is. The band dominates the Top 10 most popular metal songs on Apple Music , with "Enter Sandman" at the top and three other tracks on the list.

According to information from Stream N' Destroy (via Metal Sucks) , the charts from last Wednesday, May 5th, showed "Enter Sandman" in first place, followed by "For Whom the Bell Tolls", "Nothing Else Matters" and "One" in fourth and sixth place, respectively.

With Black Sabbath , Ozzy Osbourne , and Slipknot occupying the remaining positions, Five Finger Death Punch is the second band with the most songs in the top ten, with "Bad Company" in third place and a sequence to close out the Top 10 with "Wrong Side of Heaven" and "Jekyll and Hyde".

In the analysis of the 40 most listened-to songs, Metallica has 11 tracks on the ranking and Five Finger Death Punch lists eight. Other highlights include Slipknot, with six songs among the most listened-to, and Gojira , with four songs from their new album, Fortitude , on the chart.
