Last Thursday, the 1st, Metallica released The Blending Sessions , a series of videos that aired on YouTube in partnership with the master distiller and blender of American bourbon whiskey, Rob Dietrich .
With new episodes every week, Rob and the band members discuss topics such as whiskey, music, inspiration, and collaboration in exclusive conversations. They also delve into creative processes, shared passions, and the artistry behind their respective works.
The idea was born after the launch of the special edition whisky produced by Rob's distillery. The distillery was named after the Metallica song, "Blackened," celebrating the arrival of the band's highly anticipated 12th album, 72 Seasons.
