The heavy metal giants sold an average of 20,451 tickets per show, at an average price of €104. The data from 19 performances includes two nights in Stuttgart, Germany, which grossed €3.3 million. Both shows were sold out, with an attendance of 14,695 people per night.
The European tour included the first mass use of drones for concerts of this scale. 120 autonomous micro-drones emerged from the main stage during the performance of "Moth Into Flames" and displayed themselves in different positions above the band members, according to Pollstar.
In 2017, the WorldWired grossed $110.3 million in US dollars and $152.8 million worldwide. Currently, Metallica is in the United States, on a three-month break before embarking on a North American tour starting September 2nd in Madison, Wisconsin.
