Following the huge success of the film S&M 2 , which celebrates the 20th anniversary of Metallica 's S&M , cinemas around the world will once again screen a special session for fans on October 30th.
With support from the San Francisco Symphony , Metallica presents their greatest hits in a recording that was shown on the big screen on October 9th, simultaneously around the world. Now, fans will have another opportunity to watch the show.
The first screening drew 460,000 people to over 3,700 cinemas in 95 countries, grossing over five million dollars at the box office. The film S&M was originally released in 1999 and featured a tribute to the late Cliff Burton with the track "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)".
It's worth remembering that Metallica will be coming to Brazil in 2020 WorldWired tour , promoting the band's latest album, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct , released in November 2016. Currently, vocalist James Hetfield is in a rehabilitation clinic treating his alcohol addiction, and there is no information about any changes to the dates in the country.
