Metallica kicked off their 2025 North American tour with a concert on Saturday night, April 19th, at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. The tour features opening acts by Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies.
The band revealed on their social media that they broke the attendance record at the venue: 47,500 people. The setlist, which included 16 tracks, had some highlights such as the track “ Broken, Beat, & Scarred”, from the album Death Magnetic (2008), played for the first time since 2013. And only two songs from the recent album 72 Seasons (2023): “ Lux Æterna” and “Screaming Suicide”.
