To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of the Black Album , Metallica performed last Friday, the 10th, on the Jimmy Kimmel Live!

In addition to a brief interview, the band played “Wherever I May Roam” and “Holier Than Thou.” Check out the videos of the performance below.

James, Lars, Kirk, and Robert were also invited to read some of the terrible reviews people had written about the album. The quartet took turns reading the "1-star" reviews that had been given on Amazon over the years.

"This album is one of the most disgusting crimes ever committed in the history of music," says one of the reviews read by Lars Ulrich .

“I bought this album when it came out and was horrified when I heard it. I threw the album off a bridge and watched a truck run over it,” recited James Hetfield .

"I respect Michael Bolton than Metallica after this album," Robert Trujillo .

After further reading, Ulrich concludes by reading the final review, which states: "Lars ruined this band."
