Metallica 's self-titled album , also known as the Black Album , is a huge success among fans of the American group, and Billboard confirms this with its data.
Starting this week, the album reached the milestone of being on the Billboard 200 for over 550 weeks, totaling more than ten and a half years of success. According to a Forbes , the Black Album appeared at position 183 the week of December 9th, but climbed to 174 this week.
This is the fourth record in history, following 's Dark Side of the Moon , the album with the longest chart run at 945 weeks. Bob Marley 's Wailer's Legend and Journey 's Greatest Hits also make the list.
