2023 has arrived, two months have already passed, and the big album releases are getting closer and closer. As is tradition, Wikimetal wants to know from its readers which album they are most excited to hear this year.

Metallica with 72 Seasons , their first album in seven years? Floor Jansen with her first solo album, Paragon ? Or the comeback of Fall Out Boy ? 76% of readers voted for the new Metallica album!

72 Seasons will be released on April 14th and has already had three singles released: “ Screaming Suicide ”, “ Lux Æterna ” and “If Darkness Had a Son” . The work was produced by Greg Fidelman , James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and will succeed Hardwired… To Self Destruct (2016).

During a video, the vocalist spoke about the album's name: “There has been a lot of darkness in my life and in our career and things that have happened to us, but always having a sense of hope, always having the light that is in that darkness… Without darkness, there is no light. And there is no meaning to it – everyone has some sense of hope or light in their life and, obviously, the music is mine. And the music specifically speaks about bringing people together at a show and being able to see the joy, the life, and the love that comes from the music.”

One day before the official album release, the band will premiere the project globally in cinemas around the world. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 2nd, on the official website .
