After sharing a preview on TikTok, Metallica released the single "If Darkness Had a Son" this Wednesday, April 1st. The track is part of the new album 72 Seasons , which will be released via Blackened Recordings on April 14th.
The music video, which can be watched at the end of this article, was directed by Tim Saccenti and shows the group performing on January 9th in Los Angeles.
Previously, Metallica had already released the singles " Screaming Suicide " and " Lux Æterna ".
One day before the official album release, the band will premiere the project globally in cinemas around the world. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 2nd, on the official website .
