Last Saturday, the 14th, Metallica presented a mixed set (part acoustic and part electric) in a benefit live stream to help the organization All Within My Hands. Fans who purchased tickets were able to watch live, participating on a screen behind the band.

Recorded in San Rafael, California, the live performance featured eight acoustic songs and six electric versions. The set included classics and hits from the band, as well as covers of Deep Purple and Bob Seger .

“We’re very grateful to be a part of this and we’re happy that you’re here to watch and be a part of it too,” James Hetfield during the live stream, according to Stereogum . “Any help is welcome. And the fact that we get to play is a bonus, right? We get to play, employ some people here, help – it’s a win-win situation.”
