Metallica postpones first show scheduled for 2020

The show was to take place at a charity event for the organization All Within My Hands

Metallica their first show of 2020 scheduled at their organization's All Within My Hands in San Francisco, but the performance was postponed.

The show was initially scheduled for March 28th and has been rescheduled for September 12th, according to a statement released by the band. In it, they explain that they may have been "too ambitious" in scheduling the performance so early and without time for them to "prepare and deliver the best possible experience." Read the full statement below.

"It's time to update the schedule for the second edition of the All With My Hands Helping Hands Concert, which has been postponed to September 12th, still at the Masonic in San Francisco. Some of you may remember that we were very excited about both the S&M² and the announcement that we would be having the second edition of AWMH. However, we were too ambitious with the date in relation to the time we need to prepare and deliver the best possible experience compared to the first event that took place in November 2018."

We apologize for any inconvenience this change may have caused and thank you all for the support and love you have given to All Within My Hands. We have accomplished a lot in the last two years, including the launch of the Metallica Scholars (more than two years here) and we are excited to share more details about the incredible show we will be doing later this year.”

The band's upcoming shows are in South America, with dates in Brazil. No changes to these performances have been announced yet.
