Evan, the 13-year-old fan, played “Seek And Destroy” on the drums
A 13-year-old Metallica received the best birthday present he could have asked for. He got to play a part in "Seek And Destroy" with Metallica at a show in Amsterdam.
A professional video posted on Metallica's social media shows James Hetfield saying, "Oh my God, Lars [Ulrich] shrunk. They put Lars in the washing machine. I told them not to put him in the dryer. He shrunk," while the camera shows the boy Evan behind the drums.
Evan then does a great job on the drums with Ulrich yelling, "That's it!" into the microphone.
The boy took to social media to express his gratitude. “Well, there are no words to describe playing drums in front of 68,000 people with my heroes. My all-time favorite band. It was the best thing in the world, and it was even on my birthday!!”
