Metallica's acoustic show was in celebration of the charity's one-year anniversary.
Metallica played a rare acoustic show last weekend. The event was in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the founding of Metallica All Within My Hands, created to fight against hunger, improve education, and create sustainable communities .
In addition to acoustic versions of their own songs, the band also did covers of "When a Blind Man Cries" by Deep Purple , "Please Don't Judas Me" by Nazareth , and "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars" by Blue Öyster Cult .
James Hetfield , Kirk Hammett , Robert Trujillo , and Lars Ulrich were accompanied by a quartet of backing musicians who provided percussion, keyboards, strings, and additional vocals.
