Virginia Tech college football team Metallica 's classic "Enter Sandman" as they enter the field.

On September 3rd, the team was greeted with such a boisterous welcome by the 66,000 fans in the stadium that the magnitude of the crowd's enthusiasm was recorded on a seismograph, a device that measures the intensity of earthquakes.

The date marked the return of fans to stadiums and required that everyone present be vaccinated.

Check out the images in the videos below, as well as the seismograph marking that displays the message: “Seismograph readings in Blacksburg, Virginia, last night. Identify Enter Sandman.”
