Metallica spared no effort in celebrating the 30th anniversary of their self-titled album, released in 1991 and better known as the Black Album . This Friday, the 10th, the band released almost 250 tracks on streaming platforms.

Below you can listen to the 53 songs that make up The Metallica Blacklist , a project that featured guests from a wide variety of musical genres reimagining the classics from the original album. In addition, the remastered version of the album includes 195 songs in the super deluxe edition of the project – available for purchase on the band's official website.

The Metallica Blacklist brought together 22 artists to reimagine the 12 songs from the original album. These artists include Volbeat, Ghost, Corey Taylor, Chris Stapleton, Phoebe Bridgers, Miley Cyrus, and more. The profits from the project will be split between a charity chosen by the featured artist and All Within My Hands, Metallica's foundation.

The remastered version of the Black Album , which received a super deluxe box set, is spectacular and includes the remastered album on three LPs, 14 CDs, 6 DVDs, a card with access to the digital project, as well as extras such as cards, guitar picks, lyrics, a 120-page book with never-before-seen photos, magazines, and posters.

All the tracks from the deluxe edition are also available digitally. In total, there are 196 songs, including live versions from 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993, a remastered version from 2021, as well as demos, exclusive versions, and sessions recorded during rehearsals and songwriting.

In addition, the group launched its own podcast. There are eight episodes that detail the compositions, production, behind-the-scenes recording, and interesting facts. At the time this article was published, four episodes were available.
