Metallica announces new tour dates in Brazil for 2022; find out more.

Remaining tickets for the four dates will be put on sale again.

After much anticipation from fans, Metallica has finally announced the new tour dates for Brazil!

Originally planned for 2020 , the series of shows suffered several postponements due to COVID-19 and had no new dates. The band filed a lawsuit against the insurance company for the shows in Latin America , accusing it of not covering the losses caused by the cancellation of the initial dates, and some of the public believed that the shows would not happen.

The good news is that the band will be back in Brazil in May 2022 with shows in Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo, and Belo Horizonte. Ego Kill Talent and Greta Van Fleet have been confirmed as opening acts for all shows.

“To those of you who have been with us for the past 18 months, since the original shows were supposed to happen, thank you for your tremendous patience! We really can’t wait to finally visit South America for the first time in almost five years in April and May 2022 as we return for the six shows originally planned, including two Brazilian cities we’ve never played: Belo Horizonte and Curitiba,” the band wrote .

The production company Live Nation Brazil announced that the remaining tickets for the shows will be available for purchase starting this Monday, October 25th, but the page is not available at the time of publication of this article. All tickets purchased previously will be valid for the new show dates, with no need for exchange.
