Metallica: Listen to the never-before-released live version of "Wherever I May Roam".

This rare item is part of the super deluxe anniversary edition of the 'Black Album'

Metallica continues to release previews of the super deluxe 30th anniversary edition of The Black Album . After rarities such as the rough mix of "The Unforgiven" and a recording of a rehearsal band has now released audio of a live version of "Wherever I May Roam," taken from a performance at Day On The Green in Oakland, California, dated October 12, 1991.

The remastered version of the Black Album will be released digitally and physically, including vinyl, CD, double LP, and DVD, all accompanied by a 120-page book with previously unreleased photos and stories from the album. In addition, the band invited over 50 artists to record special covers of each track from the legendary album.

Some cover versions are already available, such as "Nothing Else Matters" sung by Miley Cyrus , "Enter Sandman" by Juanes , "Sad But True" in different versions with St. Vincent and Jason Isbell , and "Holier Than Thou" performed by Biffy Clyro and OFF!.
