Metallica Wolverine footwear company edition boot models. All proceeds from sales will be donated to the organizations All Within My Hands and Metallica Scholars Initiative .
The Metallica Scholars 1000 Mile Axel and Hellcat UltraSpring, as the models are called, will be on sale for $400 and $150, respectively, and are available for pre-order . The boots feature a version of the band's logo and will come with a guitar pick on the laces, as you can see in the photo.
“Wolverine shares the same vision we had when we created the Metallica Scholars Initiative – that it is extremely important to create and sustain a strong and resilient American workforce,” James Hetfield in a press release.
He also says: “[All Within My Hands] is our way of giving back and building future generations. And most importantly, we are helping these students achieve their dreams and transform their lives through educational programs offered at community colleges across the country.”
In addition, Wolverine and the Metallica Foundation will jointly support three community colleges in the country: Grand Rapids Community College (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Lone Star College (Houston, Texas), and WSU Tech (Wichita, Kansas). Each will receive a joint donation of $100,000 from them.
